Water Slides Take The Cake For Cool Summer Fun
Looking for adventure this summer? Well, there are a lot of things you could do, but one of the best ways to have a great time while beating the sweltering summer heat is to spend time in the water. And the best place to have fun in the water is at a water park. Hands down.
The water slides you find at water parks are essentially roller coasters and rides on water. It is like a wet amusement park and one that everyone will enjoy. Instead of hopping on a cart to ride, you are left on your own to make your way down those slippery water slides, not knowing what might be around the next turn!
I think most people would agree that all water slides are great, but once you’ve experienced some of the more elaborate ones, the simple slides can seem a little tame. Water slides have come a long way from the days when you pretty much had water running down a playground style slide.
Of course there are tube slides that have you fully enclosed. These are awesome because you can’t see what is coming around the bend. You find yourself slipping up the sides of the tube, splashing and bumping along smoothly but quickly.
Speed slides and body slides are for those looking for adventure. There are a number of different kinds, but they are all geared toward speed and excitement. Some have you dropping almost vertically for a serious adrenaline rush. Others take you spinning around and around a funnel until you drop through the hole down the slide.
A current trend in water slides lately is a dark version. This is a tube slide that often is made in the same format as another slide but this one is completely pitch black inside. If you thought you didn’t know what was coming in a regular tube slide give one of these a try and you’ll really understand what it’s like to be “in the dark”.
Some water slides are set on a hill and go with the hill, winding a little as they go. Others are set up above the park. Some have bumps while others are all about the twists and turns. Some you go down on your own, others you can ride with friends on a raft. There is a wide variety of different water slides and every water park has a different selection for you to ride on.
There is no question that water slides are a top choice for the most fun way to cool off in the summer. Do your kids or friends a favor and plan a trip to a water park near you and have a blast exploring all the water slides available to you.
